A total of 20 teachers (5 women and 15 men) teach at the Panchsheel Home. For the classes 1-10, there is a class teacher, in the upper-level there are teachers for a subject in each case. All teachers have a Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science (or Master) degree.
Besides their classical profession as teachers, they are much more than that: While the children live in school, the teachers also take on the role of mother and father. They take care of children’s social problems, simple differences of opinion, they raise the children. This is not always easy, because many of them, especially the younger, miss their parents.
Also, after teaching, some teachers are present at the school for alternate tasks, e.g. the night watch and the distribution of food.
