A total of about 600 pupils, about 250 girls and 350 boys, live in the Panchsheel Home. Besides learning at the school they live here, as in a boarding school.
For cultural reasons, boys and girls do not live together, as one might imagine in Germany, but have separate accommodation in different buildings that serve both learning and sleeping.
Panchsheel Home is a private school, supported by the government.
Teaching goes for grades 1-12. After 12 years of schooling, a degree can be obtained that is comparable to the Abitur in Germany.
